An unnamed man posed as a detective investigating the murder of Sandy Sanderson. While his only physical appearance is in Strange Neighbors, he is mentioned in The Trial where it is revealed that he is associated with the Devourers of God.
Appearance[]
The detective is tall and bald with black eyes. His uniform consists of a light blue dress shirt under a navy blue jacket and a matching tie, along with grey slacks, a police badge, and a gun holstered on his hip.
Personality[]
In stark contrast to the cop, the detective is a lot more amiable and easygoing, willing to listen to Sal and even praising his detective efforts. Considering he was merely pretending to be a detective, it’s possible his true personality is different than the one he displayed.
Biography[]
At some point, the man became associated with the Devourers of God, becoming loyal to their cause and willing to help in covering up their activities.
On the day Sal Fisher arrived at Addison Apartments, both he and another man impersonating a cop were called to the complex following the murder of Sandy Sanderson. When Sal spoke with him, the detective refused to give any information regarding the crime.
When Sal later brought incriminating evidence proving Charley Mansfield's guilt, the detective applauded his detective skills and swiftly arrested Charley.
Shortly following the death of Mrs. Packerton, Sal and Larry witnessed both the detective and cop return to the apartments late in the night to clear out Packerton’s belongings.
