CJ was a resident of Addison Apartments who resided in Room 301. He made his first appearance in "The Wretched".
Appearance
CJ had grayish cyan eyes, blond hair, and a beard. He wore a black beanie, a white shirt under a purple jacket, pale green pants, and brown shoes. He used a blue, manual, folding wheelchair.
Personality
CJ was very laid back and friendly. However, it was implied he would get careless while throwing parties, not realizing the noise was disturbing his neighbor.
Biography
While in college, CJ moved into Addison Apartments, residing in Room 301 with his friends Azaria and Sierra. They would often throw parties, which were frequently loud enough to disturb their neighbor, David.
The Wretched
CJ was choosing music for a party he was having that night when Sal stopped by. When Sal chose a more slow, classical song, CJ agreed with the decision, stating it was "unexpected".
The Trial
While Azaria and Sierra moved out, CJ chose to remain at the apartment. On the night of the mass murder, CJ invited Azaria and Sierra over so it could be like old times.
Like all the other tenants, CJ's soul was corrupted by the Dark. While he temporarily returned to normal once the Pillar had been destroyed, he was ultimately killed by Sal in order to prevent the darkness from spreading.
Trivia
- CJ is one of three characters based on an actual person, the other two being Sierra and Azaria. Their inclusion in the game was one of the incentives for donating $1000 to the game’s Indiegogo campaign. The IGG banner in their room alludes to this (IGG likely being an acronym of Indiegogo).[1]
