Lord Beelzebub, or simply Beelzebub, is an entity encountered by Sal Fisher during a dream sequence in "The Trial", the fourth episode of Sally Face.
Appearance
Beelzebub is a towering demonlike creature. He greatly resembles the Sabbatic Goat, possessing a goat’s head, a human torso, clawed hands, a long winding tail, and bird-like feet. It’s because of this resemblance, as well as his name, that Sal initially mistook him for the Devil, though Beelzebub was quick to deny this.
Personality
Beelzebub is surprisingly pleasant towards Sal and is honorable to his promise.
Beelzebub appears to be rather fond of his "art", and is eager for Sal to view them and tell them his thoughts.
Biography
Sal encountered Beelzebub in a dream, who was guarding a door bearing the number "6". When Sal requested entry, Beelzebub responded that he had to "gaze upon three of four pieces of his art" before he could do so. He also told Sal he is not yet ready to look behind the fifth door.
After Sal entered the three (or four, depending on if the player was able to unlock the fourth) doors, Beelzebub granted Sal entry through the sixth door, but not before warning him that there is no going back once he has done so. He then thanked Sal and disappeared.
Whether or not Beelzebub is an actual entity, or simply a figment in Sal's dream is unknown.

Trivia
- In Christian demonology, Beelzebub is one of the seven princes of Hell. The name “Beelzebub” can also be an alternative name for the Devil, hence Sal’s confusion upon meeting him.
- The Sabbatic Goat—the image from which Beelzebub’s design is derived—is more commonly associated with Baphomet, a deity that the Knights Templar were accused of worshipping. However, like Beelzebub, Baphomet is often equated with the Devil.
- Beelzebub speaks with red text. The only other instances of this happening in the game are when someone is possessed by the Plague of Shadows. This could indicate that Beelzebub represents the plague.
- It is popularly theorized that Beelzebub's doors each represent a floor of Addison Apartments, and each of his artworks represents one of the building's tenants.
