It was late afternoon when Sal showed up at Tatum's house unannounced. She had been working on school work when he walked into her room. She noticed and gasped out of surprise.

"Sal! You scared me. What are you doing here, anyway?" Tatum asked, looking up at him.

Sal walked over to Tatum and sat down next to her on her bed. "I thought I told you I was coming over," He said, slightly confused.

Tatum shook her head, "If you did, I forgot."

An hour later, they were walking downtown. Sal was happy hanging out with Tatum, but also worried because she was holding so many bags, as she had been buying at least one thing at every store they passed.
